REEM ACRA FEI WORLD CUP QUALIFIER, THE NETHERLANDS

Charlotte Dujardin kept up her winning form throughout this weekend during the fifth leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Western European League, held in Amsterdam. Charlotte took top honours on her Olympic and European Champion Valegro in the Grand Prix, with a score of 85.820, followed, the next day, by a mark of 91.275 in the Grand Prix Freestyle. 

In front of his home crowd Edward Gal on Glock’s Undercover was kept in runner up position in both the Grand Prix and Freestyle by the British partnership, who were just shy of their own world-record breaking marks in both tests.


The weekend’s competition in Amsterdam was the last leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Qualifiers, ahead of the Final which is held in Lyon (17-21 April), Charlotte and Valegro currently hold equal-sixth place in the overall league standings.

SHOWJUMPING

FTI WEF GRAND PRIX CSI 3*, FLORIDA

World number one, Scott Brash, was narrowly edged out of first place in the €125,000 Fidelity Grand Prix CSI 3* by fellow British rider and world number two Ben Maher at this weekend’s FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival.

The British duo produced the only two double clears in the final class of the week, with Scott, riding the mare Hello Ursula XIII, coming in less than a second behind his teammate Ben on board his European Championship partner Cella.

MERCEDES CLASSIC GRAND PRIX FEI WORLD CUP QUALIFIER, ZURICH

Belgium based British rider, Joe Clee, produced one of only three double clear rounds to take home second place at this week’s Grand Prix World Cup Qualifier in Switzerland. An early draw in the jump off saw Joe, piloting Diablesse de Muze, claim the runner up place, less than half a second behind Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer riding Toulago.

Laura Renwick who was among other Brits competing in Zurich this weekend, claimed four top six placing’s across the show, including a win in the 1.35m Speed Class with the mare Beluga II.
