Peter Charles, Ben Maher, Nick Skelton, Robert Smith and Michael Whitaker have been selected to travel to Rome for next week's FEI Nations Cup.
Three of the selected combinations also competed at the first FEI Nations Cup competition in La Baule, France (13-15 May) - Peter Charles, Nick Skelton and Robert Smith.
Hampshire based Peter Charles will partner Olga White and Team Murka’s ten year old chestnut stallion Murka’s Nevada VI.
Ben Maher and Tripple X III have recently returned from Linz where they won the 80,000€ Grand Prix. Tripple X III is a nine year old black stallion whom Ben jointly owns with Quainton Stud - he will be making his debut in this series.
Warwickshire’s Nick Skelton will partner Beverly Widdowson’s ten year old grey stallion, Carlo.
Another Warwickshire rider Robert Smith with the scopey eleven year old bay stallion Talan, a horse he jointly owns with Di and Pennie Cornish.
Michael Whitaker, currently based in Nottingham, will join his Wold Cup Qualifying horse GIG Amai II. The even year old bay gelding, owned by Beatrice Mertens.
The Nations Cup is due to take place on Friday 27th May at 16:00 CEST with the Grand Prix commencing on Sunday 29th May at 16:15 CEST.
