Endurance

The British team had a fantastic trip to the FEI European Young Rider Endurance Championships 2012, in Mont le Soie, Belgium on Saturday (8th September) winning team bronze, closely following France in gold position and Italy in silver. The team included Kate Atkinson riding Vanash, Carri-Ann Dark riding Vavavoom, Beth Langley riding HS Amtista and Louise Rich riding Oakleaze Farm Cziko, with individual riders Dace Sainsbury riding Balotta and Andrew Theodorou on Balotta. Dace was the highest place British rider and finished in a credible 12th place.

Eventing

William Fox-Pitt reached a momentous milestone with his victory at the Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials on Sunday (9th September); it is the 50th three-day event win of his career. Riding Seacookie, William finished on his dressage score of 39 following two beautiful clear rounds in the x country and showjumping phases. Mark Todd showed his experience when he steered the green Conair into second place on a score of 42 penalties, closely followed by Kristina Cook riding her own De Novo News into third position, adding just 0.8 penalties to her dressage score and finishing on 42.8.

The British team was dominant once again having claimed team and individual gold along with individual silver at the 2012 FEI European Eventing Championships for Juniors in Strzegom, Poland this weekend (6th-9th September). The team finished on a score of 130.10 and included Sophie How and Pebbly Aga Khan, Alfie Bradstock riding Minimes, Alexandra Liddle riding Romeo Z, and Isabella Innes Ker riding Carolyn, with the silver medal going to Ireland and bronze going to France. Individual competitor, Emily King, finished closest to the gold medal winning score of fellow-Briton Sophie How and brought home individual silver. This was the 18th team and 17th individual gold medal winning success for Great Britain since these Championships first took place in 1967.

Showjumping

This Brits were successful at CSIO5* Spruce Meadows, Canada, this weekend (5th-9th September) with the quartet comprising Olympic team Gold Medallist Scott Brash riding Intertoy Z, Tina Fletcher rideing Ursula XII, Robert Whitaker riding USA Today and Michael Whitaker riding Viking V, finishing in fourth place in the $300,000 BMO Nations Cup. Record crowds topping over 80,000 spectators saw the German Team victorious with Ireland in second and The Netherlands in third.
