British Quartet head to Polish leg of FEI Nations Cup

British Eventing have announced the four riders who will represent Great Britain at the fourth leg of the FEI Nations Cup Series, which takes place in Strzegom, Poland, 24th – 26th June 2016.

The squad are, in alphabetical order:

Rosalind Canter (30) from Lincolnshire with her own and Miss Caroline Moore’s 11 year old gelding Allstar B

Laura Collett (26) from Berkshire on Mrs Maggie Sargent’s eight year old gelding Cooley Again

Izzy Taylor (33) from Oxfordshire and Mr Guy Avis’ 16 year old mare KBIS Briarlands Matilda

Holly Woodhead (22) from North Yorkshire and Miss Carol Gee’s 10 year old gelding Fernhill Facetime

The team head to the fourth competition in the nine event series in second place on 225 points behind France on 250 points. A fantastic performance in April at the Ballindenisk International Horse Trials, Ireland, ensured GB the maximum 100 points before taking 70 points from the home event at Houghton Hall International at the end of May.

The British Eventing teams are supported by the Equestrian World Class Programme. The Programme, which encompasses both Podium and Podium Potential squads, focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal winning performances on the world stage. The Programme has been funded by the National Lottery via UK Sport since 1998 and is a portfolio within the British Equestrian Federation.
