CPEDI 3*Bury Farm, Buckinghamshire
International Para-Dressage came to Buckinghamshire’s Bury Farm this weekend and with it the final opportunity for athletes to notch-up FEI all important World Rankings points – giving nations with already qualified teams the opportunity to qualify a fifth quota place for Rio 2016.
Sophie Christiansen and Mrs Diane Redfern’s Athene Lindebjerg (Grade Ia), Lee Pearson with his own, Mr and Mrs Pearson and Gillian Chinn’s Zion (Grade Ib) and Sophie Wells on Charlotte Hogg’s C Fatal Attraction (Grade IV) scored the treble in their respective grades as they claimed the win in the Team, Individual Championship and Freestyle tests.
Erin Orford and Miss Annabel Whittet’s Dior (Grade II) took the win in both the Team Test and Freestyle whilst Deborah Criddle with The Lady Joseph Charitable Trust’s LJT Akilles also took the Freestyle win in the Grade III along with first place in the Individual Championship test.
CSI3* Maastricht, The Netherlands
2015 FEI European Championship squad member Joe Clee picked up a good win in the MECC Prijs accumulator class this weekend. Riding Ludwig Criel’s Diablesse de Muze, the combination scored the maximum 44 points in a time of 33.52 seconds to take the win ahead of Michel Hendrix and Eder van den Blauwaert from The Netherlands.
John Whitaker and Tequestrian Farms, LLC’s Castlefield Cristobal beat off tough competition to narrowly take the win in the Kankeronderzoekfonds Limburg Prijs 1.45m class. A clear jumping round on the 10 year old stallion in a time of 64.38 seconds saw off competition from Ben Schröder of The Netherlands to take the win by just 0.11 seconds.
CDI3* Maastricht, The Netherlands
Two weeks after recording a superb Grand Prix win in Le Mans, Lara Griffith once again took centre stage for GBR the international dressage competition at this weekend’s Dutch show. Riding Dr and Mrs Bechtolsheimer’s bay gelding Rubin Al Asad the combination posted a score just shy of the 70% barrier gaining 69.620% to take fourth place in the competitive Grand Prix class. Diederik van Silfhout of The Netherlands took the win on board Bonzanjo with a score of 73.480%.
The Grand Prix Freestyle brought more big scores, with a second a win for Diederik van Silfhout (76.625%), as Lara and Rubin Al Asad once again took fourth place with a score of 73.625%.
CSI2* Oliva Autumn Tour, Spain
There were British wins galore out at week two of the Oliva Autumn Tour, with Britain’s Benjamin Raistrick taking first place in both the Bronze 1.40m and Bronze 1.30m classes. FEI Nations Cup Final team member Laura Renwick took first place in the Gold 1.40m class on Mr David Roger’s Rembrandt Blue whilst Kayleigh Watts, Carmen Edwards and Chloe Aston all posted wins throughout the weekend for Great Britain.
CSI2* Mijas, Spain
British rider Alice Watson enjoyed a winning weekend, taking first place in the 1.45m class on board her own Billy Lemon along with the runner up prize in the Premium 1.30m Grand Prix with Zakynthos II, finishing just behind fellow Brit Kristen Deakin and her own Sunsolde.
