Out at the Global Champions Tour Final, Britain’s Scott Brash produced some lovely jumping with Hello Forever, owned by Lady Harris and Lady Kirkham, to be rewarded with the win in Friday’s 1.50m Longines Ranking class.
Taking to the arena a day later for the Grand Prix aboard Hello Sanctos, owned by Lord and Lady Harris and Lord and Lady Kirkham, Scott was one of eighteen combinations to head through to the second round, but after incurring 8 penalties the combination finished in eighth place overall with the win going to Portugal’s Luciana Diniz.
There were some superb results for William Funnell and The Billy Stud, during the third week of the Costa del Sol Equestrian Tour. Aboard Billy Congo (owned by William and Donal Barnwell), the duo produced a great win in the Longines Rankings 1.45m class on Friday, before finishing fourth during Sunday’s Grand Prix. William also recorded a third placing with Billy Um Bongo in the 1.40m, whilst his wife, Pippa, finished second in Sunday’s 1.30m Grand Prix class aboard Billy Swift.
