Dressage day two at The London International Horse Show, Olympia, saw another world record overturned. Having broken her Grand Prix record the previous night Charlotte Dujardin with her talented dancing partner Valegro took to the arena for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Freestyle and once again demonstrated their dominance, giving the home crowd something to cheer about as she smashed her own Freestyle record from 2013, to post a huge 94.300% on the board.
With the judges awarding 25 tens during the test and with a 99% artistic mark awarded by one of the judges, Charlotte commented afterwards “I'm so lucky to have a horse like Valegro, he just makes me so emotional”.
Edward Gal (NED) with Glock’s Undercover N.O.P took second on 83.500% with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (GER) and Unee BB third with 80.725%. Danielle Heijkoop (NED) took fourth on 80.325% riding Siro N.O.P whilst GBR’s Carl Hester with Nip Tuck produced a promising test to score 79.925% and take fifth.
