Eventing substitution

19th Aug 2015

The British Eventing Senior Selectors have decided to substitute Bayano, ridden by Flora Harris and owned by Caroline Harris and Rebecca Salt, ahead of the upcoming Longines FEI European Eventing Championships in Blair Castle (10-13 September), following the horses’ recent lack of form at the Eventing CICO3* Nations Cup event in Aachen.

The Senior Selectors have decided to replace him with Tom Jackson (22, from Kent) and Waltham Fiddlers Find (also known as Wesley; 12 year old, bay gelding) owned by Ian and Sara Jackson and the athlete.

In addition to the substitution, Izzy Taylor will now ride her direct reserve horse, Mr Guy Avis’s KBIS Briarlands Matilda (a 15 year old, British bred bay mare) at the Championships after Allercombe Ellie was found to be lame in Aachen.

All selected athlete/horse combinations are required to maintain their performance and fitness ahead of a Championship.
