Update on British equestrian nominated entries

1st Jul 2016

Unfortunately due to injuries, two horses named on the nominated entries list by the British Equestrian Federation last week (21 June 2016) have been ruled out for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Classic Briolinca, ridden by dressage rider Gareth Hughes and owned by Rebecca Hughes, Julia Hornig and the rider, incurred a small tweak that will require some time out and rest. Gareth took to Facebook after the news broke recently to comment; “She will be fine. We will give her the time she needs to recover to come back fighting next year! We wish all the other nominated riders the best of luck and to the team for Rio.”

DHI Lupison, ridden by eventer Holly Woodhead and owned by Ian Woodhead, has also been ruled out after he picked up an injury requiring him to have some time off from competition.

We wish the two horses a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them out competing again soon.
