It was a very successful day on the world stage for GBR, as Britain’s eventers secured Rio 2016 Qualification, a team silver and individual bronze in a tense showjumping finale.

EVENTING

Great Britain’s eventers have bagged their place at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games after a stunning performance at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which saw the team of Tina Cook, William Fox-Pitt, Harry Meade and Zara Phillips, clinch the silver medal after a tense showjumping finale – as well as an individual bronze for William.

JUMPING

With the British horses arriving safely in Caen yesterday, today saw the Horse Inspection take place at the D’Ornano stadium. The team of four: Scott Brash (Hello Sanctos), Joe Clee (Utamaro d’Ecaussines), Spencer Roe (Wonder Why) and Michael Whitaker (), along with travelling reserve Jessie Drea (Touchable), all sailed through the trot-up and are now looking forward to the competition.
