13 AUGUST 2014

Hi everyone!!  Well after a very long journey we have arrived in Nanjing!! The flights were comfortable but a long way and not much sleep was had by anyone due to very excited athletes!

The Chinese are very Chinese! Everything organised for you just not always as we would do it! The task of getting over 70 bags that all look the same into the correct rooms was a feat in itself and we will be forever grateful that the staff  at Team GB got everyone bags here including oars, bikes, saddles and masses of medical equipment!

First stop the dining hall, one of 3 floors of food in the biggest building you have ever seen in a sports environment! Although there is loads to choose from to be honest it all tastes the same, and that goes for breakfast lunch and dinner!!

It is pouring with rain here and due to do that all week but having done a quick survey Team GB waterproof kit is by far the most waterproof…… the Camen Islands are looking a little soggy!

Technical meeting today but the Equestrian venue is 100 minutes away on the bus, so 12.30 leave for a 3.00 meeting. Wait till I tell Jake we have to be there at 8.30 tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow we will find out what our horses will be like……. fingers crossed for one that  jumps ! European team all bonding well, little strange turning round and them not being dressed in team GB kit ! By the way , colour of the day is White ( we all wear the same colour every day, One Team GB), tomorrow is red!

The next blog should have news of the horses, watch this space!
