Lucy Phillips - Senior Individual Female
Lucy finished 8th overall at the 2009 FEI European Vaulting Championships in the Senior Individual Female class.
Lucy started riding when she was 5 years old after a friend's horse riding party. She enjoyed it so much that went back for another go! Her first pony was called Applejack whom Lucy first began competing in showing classes when she was just 7. Lucy competed in her first vaulting competition in 1997. Lucy has has competed at both World and European Championship level. She was English Champion in 2007 and 2008 and gained 2nd place in the 2008 Junior British Championships. In 2008, Lucy was awarded a Talented Athlete Scholarship (TASS) award for her vaulting achievements. Her trainer is Christoph Lensing and her most admired vaulter is Nadia Zulow.
