Gill Watson
Team Staff
Gill Watson spent her formative years under the late Pat Smallwood at Radnage House and won Burghley on Shaitan in 1969. She was appointed Team Trainer to the Juniors in 1980 and to the Young Riders in 1981. Gill was also Chef d’Equipe of the Junior Squad from 1984 to 2002. Under her supervision, training and management, to date the Juniors have won 37 Championship medals, 16 of them gold, and the Young Riders 52 including 22 golds. With a total of 89 FEI Championship medals this must be an all time record for any trainer in the world and hopefully there will be more to come.
