David Rowlands was brought up in Cornwall. He qualified at Liverpool University in 1997 and has worked in equine referral hospitals in Ireland, New Zealand and Newmarket. In 2005 he returned to the West Country to help establish the Penhale Equine Clinic at Penbode Veterinary Group. His areas of professional interest include stud and sport horse medicine. He is part of the BEF Veterinary Team and a holder of the RCVS Certificate of Equine Medicine (Stud Medicine).
