Dr Sally Matthews

Team Staff

Dr Sally Matthews always wanted to find a way to combine her love of horses and her medical work - now she has fulfilled her dream by working as the Para-Equestrian Dressage Team Doctor travelling to the 2008 Hong Kong Paralympic Games.

Sally is originally from Suffolk and her horsey background is in eventing. Sally completed her degree at Leeds University and qualified as a doctor in 2002 after studying for six years. She then trained as a surgeon for three years, before transferring to general practice. Sally is about to start a Masters in sports and exercise medicine at Bath University (distance learning).
