Kitty King

Biography

Kitty was the first athlete to have represented Great Britain at all levels – Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Senior. After making her senior debut in 2005 at the FEI European Championships hosted at Blenheim Palace, Rio 2016 will see Kitty making her first Olympic appearance.

Riding from an early age, her first call-up to represent Great Britain came in 1998 when she was selected for the Pony European Championships, where she brought home a team silver medal. Two years later she was selected for the Junior Europeans and returned with a second team silver medal and a fourth place finish with Leading Edge.

Kitty was crowned the U25 British Champion in 2003, the same year she won a team gold medal at the Young Rider Europeans in Poland. Representing Great Britain once more at the Senior European Championships at Blair Castle in 2015, she was the highest placed British competitor taking fourth place, and a team silver medal, on Jane & Frank Inns’ Persimmon.

This year Kitty and Ceylor L A N have enjoyed two top ten placings at CIC3* level, including fourth place at the Bramham International Horse Trials.
