Ben Maher MBE

Beginning riding aged eight, Ben went on to represent Great Britain on pony, junior and young rider teams, which saw him take team gold at the Young Rider European Championships in 2004. He was the first British showjumper to be ranked world number one in 2013 and was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List in 2013.

Ben will represent Great Britain at his third Olympic Games this summer after his selection for the 2016 team with Tic Tac. Part of the gold medal winning team in 2012, Ben has represented Great Britain at the last two European Championships, including 2015 where he helped secure qualification for Rio with his ride Diva II.
