Dean Bland is a farrier with thirteen years experience. His working life reflects his interests, split between working as a practical farrier and farriery educator.
The focus for his practical farriery is working with horses with specific needs; competition horses; horses with conformational and lameness issues and horses referred to him by vets, farriers and Imprint Equine Foot Care.
As a farriery educator he works for both Imprint Equine Foot Care and World Horse Welfare, helping them to deliver education and training both directly at conferences and training events; and indirectly through the production of educational material for the use in teaching environments, in communities and on modern media formats.
His main interest away from his working life is Art. He is a landscape artist and member of Manchester Academy of Fine Arts.
