The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) office are getting in the WEG spirit by making patriotic bakes to show their support for the British team out in Tryon! 

Inspired by the Head of Participation, Anna Hall, the team will be becoming 'Games Bakers', creating cakes to support the athletes from over 4000 miles away, encouraging everyone to get involved with the action.

All of the events from the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games will be shown either online or on TV; you can see our full coverage guide for details.

We would love to see more people get involved and bake for Britain and this could be a great idea if you would like to raise money for charity. 

Here is Anna's bake ahead of tonight's opening ceremony which looks delicious! 

Away from baking, if you would like to get involved in equestrian sport there are a number of ways you can spectate, ride, volunteer.

Anna's bake:

"Things never quite go according to plan when you promise to do something - and I managed to somewhat overdo the yoghurt (how are you supposed to measure out 125ml Greek yoghurt anyway?) so I added a little extra self-raising flour and thankfully it seems to have rescued it. 

"Fruit was added in the office kitchen as the amazing Maggie, our Head of Secretariat, suggested it should be done at the last minute so it doesn’t ooze coloured juice onto the icing.  Maggie is a font of knowledge who does so much here including the huge amount of FEI work and supporting our Board and Council- and certainly knows everything about the British Equestrian Federation!"

To mark Great Britain's eventing success, the Anna and Jo Underhill, Participation Officer at the BEF, have an Equestrian Team GBR biscuit to celebrate their success. Safeguarding Officer, Ashlee Bryne lent a helping hand putting the finishing touches - decorating the biscuits and setting the scene with the whole eventing team, including Ros and Alby. We're sure Paul Hollywood would agree that it's a great bake!
