Sophie not only nailed her Grade V individual test by a significant margin but her performance also means that we are now at the top of the medal table. Tomorrow it is the turn of Natasha and Erin in the Grade III.
The showjumpers had their final training session today. Tomorrow starts to get serious with the Speed Round which is the first part of the Individual and Team Competition.
Vaulting had a good day with the compulsory tests now completed for the individuals and teams. Tomorrow is the Nations Cup event, which sees the team and our individual female vaulters, Lucy and Rebecca, compete their Freestyle tests. The Nations Cup competition starts at 5pm (EDT) in the new Indoor School.
Eventing, endurance and the single remaining reining horse left the venue today to begin their journey home. Reports are that the dressage horses who left yesterday evening are now home safe and sound.
Tonight we had this weeks' owners reception (for our showjumping, para-dressage and vaulting owners). It is so important for us to recognise the huge support that owner owners give to our sport – we wouldn’t be here and be achieving such great results without them. We presented some of our amazing Championship owners with their Commemorative Awards; our dressage, reining, eventing and endurance will be receiving their Awards shortly.
