FEI European Championships 2019: Team GBR Guide

The FEI European Championships 2019 brought together several equestrian disciplines, with Team GBR fielding squads across eventing, dressage, showjumping and para-equestrian dressage. The championships served as a major target in their own right and, in the Olympic disciplines, as part of the qualification pathway towards the Tokyo 2020 Games.

The British squads

In the build-up, British Equestrian named its teams across the disciplines. Three riders received their first call-up for the para-equestrian dressage European Championships, while the showjumping squad, including Olympic medallists, was selected with one eye on Tokyo qualification. World Equestrian Games medallists spearheaded a strong British dressage squad, and Team GBR named a talented line-up to defend its European eventing title.
