Team GBR’s eventing team has arrived in Luhmuhlen ahead of the Longines FEI Eventing European Championships which begin on Thursday 29th August.
The first horse inspection was held in the main arena, with all the British combinations trotting up in front of the ground jury.
Following the first horse inspection, Richard Waygood, Team GBR Chef d’Equipe, confirmed that the team would be:
Pippa Funnell MBE with her own and Marek Sebestak’s Majas Hope (groom Emily Gibson)
Piggy French with Jayne McGivern’s Quarrycrest Echo (groom Amy Phillips)
Tina Cook with Elisabeth Murdoch’s Billy The Red (groom Rachel Tolley)
Oliver Townend with Angela Hislop’s Cooley Master Class (groom Suzanne Cooper)
Laura Collett with her own, Keith Scott and Karen Bartlett’s London 52 (groom Zanie King), and Kitty King with Diana Bown, Sally Eyre, Samantha Wilson and Sally Lloyd-Baker’s Vendredi Biats (groom Chloe Fry), will be competing for Team GBR as individuals.
The Longines FEI Eventing European Championships begin on Thursday 29 August with the first two team dressage tests; Pippa Funnell (0945BST), Piggy French (1331) and one individual test from Team GBR rider Laura Collett (1446).
On Friday 30 August, there are two further team dressage tests; Tina Cook (1107), Oliver Townend (1445) and one individual test from Kitty King (1245).
