Stuttgart German Masters, Germany
William Whitaker took the title class at this weekend’s Stuttgart German Masters against top competition and a challenging track. The UK Sport National Lottery funded World Class Development Programme rider claimed the win in the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping on Elizabeth Fredlund’s dark bay gelding Fandango after producing one of only six clear rounds out of a field of 37 starters. Stopping the clock in a time of 47.27 seconds saw the combination take the class by over 2.5 seconds ahead of second placed American rider Lucy Davis on Barron.

It was victory for Christine Pritchard this weekend at the final Under 23 qualifier of the 2014 series. Out of 20 competitive starters seven clears came forward from the first round of jumping with just three of those going on to jump clear against the clock in the jump-off. Riding her mother Tracy Pritchard’s bay gelding, Waldemar, Christine produced a faultless jump-off round in a time of 37.20 seconds to claim the win, over two seconds ahead of Alfie Bradstock on Graham Fletcher’s Caicos.
The line-up for the Under 23 British Championship Final at Olympia will be announced in due course.
