Jo Pitt

Jo Pitt is a senior Team GBR eventing squad rider whose career has spanned more than two decades at the top of British eventing. Based at a long-running yard in the West Country, her partnerships with the Watermill Stud horses — owned and bred in Shropshire — produced consistent four-star results across the first decade of the 2000s.

Career highlights

Pitt has competed at Badminton, Burghley and Luhmühlen and has represented Team GBR at European Championship level. Her Watermill partnerships have included Watermill Rolex (a striking grey who became a Badminton regular) and Watermill Twiggy, both of whom were produced through the novice and intermediate ranks at her yard.

She has been an active voice in British eventing’s development pathway, particularly in the production of young horses, and has mentored riders coming through the World Class Futures programme.
