Yogi Breisner

Yogi Breisner was the architect of Team GBR’s modern eventing dominance. A Swedish-born former international eventer himself, he took on the Performance Manager role in 2000 and held it until 2016 — a run that delivered five Olympic team medals (silver in 2004, 2008, 2012 and bronze in Rio 2016), six European team golds and four World Championship team medals.

Known for his meticulous attention to cross-country preparation and team selection, Breisner was appointed MBE in 2009 for services to equestrian sport. He remains a consultant on cross-country course design and a key voice in developing the next generation through the World Class Programme.
