Izzy Taylor

Izzy has had a prolific eventing career since a young age, having taken team silver and individual bronze at the 2004 Young Rider European Championships.

A career in eventing comes as no surprise when looking at Izzy’s background – her grandmother, Jane Whiteley (nee Drummond Hay), evented herself, including being placed in Badminton Horse Trials. Izzy's great aunt, Anneli Drummond Hay, won both Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials. Meanwhile, her mother represented Great Britain in showjumping as a Young Rider and her father is a great lover of hunting, an infatuation that also quickly rubbed off on Izzy.

Izzy was selected to ride for Great Britain for the first time at senior level at the 2013 European Championships in Malmö and she has also appeared regularly on the British team for the FEI Nations Cup series, playing a vital part in the squad including helping to secure the team win at the recent leg at the Strzegom Horse Trials in Poland this June.

Izzy is now based at her family’s farm in Oxfordshire, with her two children.
