At 24, I am an international showjumper who began my career at an early age. At just 5 years old, I took over the family pony and straight away I was hooked. After trying my hand at most equine disciplines, I decided to focus solely on showjumping and at the age of 13 I was given a good 148cm pony to ride.
At the age of 16 I got my first horse “Clydecruiser,” and by the following year I jumped double clear in the junior Nations Cup trials at Wales and West. A great achievement when I only had the side of a hill and two jumps to practice with!
The following year came, and the decision was made to concentrate on horses as a future and career path.
At the age on 17, I went to work for Stuart Harvey. Here I learnt about producing young horses to the highest level. Stuart taught me a lot about what to look for in a young horse and still helps in looking for young horses and I still receive training on a regular basis.
After a brief stint in Switzerland I then moved to Holland to work for the Dutch Breeder Egbert Schep. Riding 12 horses a day and taking 9 horses to shows each week, I quickly learnt a lot about horses and riding in the ring.
After moving back to England, I spent some time working at IN Showjumpers near London. Here I got a little taste for the international shows.
I then met Heather and the decision was made to start our own stable. The first six months we based ourselves in Surrey with Stuart, whom Heather was training with at the time, until things were more established. After the spring tour in Oliva Nova (Spain) we moved back to Hill House Farm in Somerset, where things have gone from strength to strength; and now boast a yard full of promising talented horses.
This year we then broke through on to the Nations Cup scene following some good results at the Sunshine Tour with our horse Imagine de Muze (Coco) , an 11 year old black mare whom Heather bought when she was a 7yr old. She is a really easy horse to handle and takes everything in her stride. She will jump in any ring in the world and travel anywhere with zero stress. A mindset we can all aspire too!!

My second horse is Eskola M (Charlie) a 10yr old Grey gelding that we also bought when he was 7. As an 8yr old he finished 3rd and qualified for the World Class Development Programme U23s at Olympia. He has gone from strength to strength and this year finished in the top 5 three weeks in a row in the small Grand Prix at Sunshine Tour.
