I first got into dressage when I was 8 years old after my mum took me to watch her friend in some competitions. After that I was hooked! When I was 12 years old I decided I wanted to also play polo like my dad. A few years later I decided to completely focus on dressage and aim for the youth teams and competing internationally. I also moved to Germany for two years for training with Olympian Helen Langehanenberg, I learnt an awful lot from her and I’m very grateful for the amount of effort she put towards helping me! I went on to compete in a number of CDI’s and I also rode on the British European young rider team in 2017. In 2018 I was first reserve for the U25 European team and this year my aim is to go to Italy for the Europeans with my horse Belafonte. I’m now training in the UK with Jodie Phillips and Charlotte Dujardin.

My horses:

  • Belafonte, 17hh, 15 years old, Liver chestnut Gelding

I’ve owned Belafonte since July 18’ and although we haven’t been a partnership for very long, we’ve been to 5/6 CDI’s this year already with top 8 placings each time. This is Belafontes first year and Grand Prix and only my second, so we’re both still fairly green at the level!

  • Lancelot, 16.3hh, 14 years old, Grey Stallion

Lancelot is my absolute horse of a lifetime. Not only is he breath taking to look at, he’s an incredibly talented Grand Prix horse who again, I’ve had many successful CDI’s with including a couple of wins in 2018. I plan to come out at senior level with him this coming winter.

  • Beaulissimo , 16.2hh, 8 year old, Bay gelding

I’ve owned ‘Beau’ since he was 3 years old. I bought him in 2014 in the Oldenburg stallion licensing where he licensed. He was gelded in 2017 after a season of breeding and he now has 9 babies, 3 of them mine from my own mares. Beau is very talented and is working at Grand Prix, but he hasn’t always been the easiest horse so I know he may take longer then other horses to mature and come out at Grand Prix.

  • Donna Summer, 15.3hh, 18 years old, Chestnut gelding

‘Rio’ as he is known is the horse that really started my international career! I really do owe everything to him. He took me to my first CDI abroad and then into a European team where we finished 13th in the freestyle. He has a huge personality, but at a show when he knows it’s important he really likes to show off! He has been to 6 Europeans in total for Great Britain (5 with his previous rider) and has competed in around 25 CDI competitions.

  • Khaleesi , 16.2hh, 4 year old, Bay mare

Khaleesi is a new edition to the team. She’s an extremely talented young horse with a perfect character to be a top top sport horse. I’m really excited to see where our partnership goes.

Away from dressage, I go to all of my dad and brothers polo games(provided I’m not competing my own horses!) and support them. Polo is a very addictive sport, so although I don’t play anymore I still like to be a part of it, especially as it runs in the family. I also really like to go out with friends to the cinema as I’m a big movie person. So although horses do rule most of my life, I do get some time away from them!
