I am a 24 year old event rider who is normally known as the Scottish one! but I have now left my home in the Scottish Borders to set up my own business, Roxburghe Eventing, basing myself with William Fox-Pitt in Dorset. I completed University and graduated with a first class honours degree in Sports Management, which I know I can always fall back on if all else fails - I hope not!! I am a huge sports fan and was lucky enough to do a part time internship at a Sports Marketing Company, where I met a number of the Scottish Rugby players and have since then continued to follow sport very closely!!

I have to be honest I’m not much of a cooking goddess but I do adore good food and eating out in yummy restaurants. However I am pretty nifty when it comes to baking a cake - so you can see where my priorities lie!!!

I have been very fortunate and represented Great Britain on three occasions and won two team gold medals. The biggest win and highlight of my whole career has to be winning Blenheim International CCI-L4* last year and becoming the youngest winner in history. That week really showed that dreams can come true as I always dreamed of achieving a big senior win with my top mare Carolyn.

My current top horse is called Cartown Wallabe; he is a 12 year old black gelding and has a heart of gold. He never lets me down and will always give me one hundred and ten percent and is a complete jumping machine. His weaker phase has to be his dressage but he is improving every year and finding it far less stressful!! He recently just finished 6th in his first CCI-L4* at Bramham in the Under 25 Championships. So much for buying horses on pedigree; we bought him being told he was by one sire but DNA later confirmed he was by another!!!

Highway is a 7 year old, grey gelding that is full of sass and likes to permanently keep me on my toes with his hysterical and very wicked sense of humour! He thinks he is the bees knees and doesn’t need a jockey the majority of the time, so I am trying to tell him he would benefit from listening!! He is by far one of the most talented horses I have been lucky enough to ride and produce and he is going to be very exciting for the future.

Voodoo is the newest member to my team and is an extremely talented 6 year old black mare. She is still relatively new to me but I fell in love with her incredible scopey jump and lightness off the floor. I’m looking forward to developing our partnership further. Watch this space!
