I was very fortunate to grow up on the hunting field with my two sister's (Bonnie and Kitty) alongside my dad, who was a field master for the Avon Vale and I think this is where my passion for cross country began. I don't remember a time in my life when badminton and representing my country wasn't my dream. I Shetland raced for two years when I was 12yo and it was so much fun! Apart from eventing I am really into music and adore going to music festivals (when they don't clash with events!) My favourite film would have to be Finding Nemo but I do also love James Bond. I'm the worst cook ever! I used to play Hockey, Netball and Athletics to a national level.
Eventing achievements include:
-Representing the South West at the u18 championship x3 times.
-Finishing 2nd/82 in my first abroad event at Millstreet CIC* 2017.
-Longlisted for the junior Europeans 2018
-X2 intermediate wins
-Finishing on my dressage score for 9th at the young rider championship CCI3*L on a horse which had never attempted that level.
I have two wonderful horses:
- Candyman Leanorth - 12yo 17.3hh chestnut gelding. He is a real head turner and was a hunt masters horses in Ireland previously alongside his eventing. Could be a pure showjumper but is too talented in the other phases!
- C Why- 9yo 17.2hh Bay gelding, relatively new partnership. Full of character and is extremely talented and knows it! The best xc machine I have ever ridden and never gets tired.
I owe everything to my wonderful family, especially my Mother and Father and to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today, I am hugely excited to have the chance to further my knowledge and skills through the World Class Podium Potential Pathway!
